The Purses and Totes are rather heavy bags which are constructed of several layers of fabric.
First layer is the outside fabric
Second layer is medium/heavy weight interfacing to match the outside fabric.
Third layed is medium interfacing to match the selected inside fabric.
Fourth layer is the selected inside fabric
The bottom peice in these bags is rectangle and make a flat bottom in the bag. The size of the bag is measured by the size of this bottom peice. Most purses measure approximately 4 1/2" x 9" as the bag pictured here. Most larger bags or totes are approximately 4 1/2" x 13". The picture below shows a comparison. Bags can have open pockets, zippered pockets or no pockets.

Most bags have a magnetic clasp for
closing. They hold well and are easy
to fasten and unfasten.
